    What voters need to know:

Just exactly who is/are We Care About Dearborn? If you care so much sign your name/s to something like this.

The bigger question may be why this site, which screens submissions, allows a link to an anonymous letter that smears a candidate. Used to be that these nameless hatchet jobs could only reach the homes where they were mailed. Now they can get wider distribution as dirty politics have moved firmly into the cyber age.

It also is interesting that the candidate smeared is Tom Tafelski, occasionally a thorn in the side of the city administration, and someone the powers that be would like to see fall lower in the council results and out of the council president spotlight.

In a separate item on this site, an attack on candidate Councilman Doug Thomas is publicized. He’s also someone the administration would like to see kept from winning re-election.

    @ Just The Facts

you bring up some points. Are you saying that DeepSaidWhat is pro City Hall? letting pieces that only shine on JBO and his administration?

Also does anyone know who Mayor is endorsing?

  5. Dearbornette says:

TPT, I followed your little trail and the facts do not add up. I do believe that the Thomas Tafelski referred to in the federal lawsuit docs is not the same Thomas Tafelski who is our council president. There are several in the area, just do a google search; I did in fact search, and there is another Thomas Tafelski who now works for a different pharmaceutical company. I also located the councilman, and he is a financial planner. You should check your facts before you slander someone. (I am not a Thomas P. apologist, merely someone who expects people to back up what they say).

As for the allegations about his house assessment, it would appear from the records that the house is under-assessed. However, I would suggest to you that there are numerous other homes with similarly low assessments, and they are owned by persons with no political connections.

  6. Old All Day School Mom says:

Allegedly, the mayor is endorsing Nancy Hubbard, Suzanne Sareini, Mark Shooshanian, and Bob Abraham.

  7. rubber stamps says:

what is wrong with this list of names????

  8. Dearbornette says:

Unfortunately Mom, this is what I expected. All these people are “yes” people to the Mayor, so if we don’t get rid of them it will be more of the same. I believe that this city is in dire need of fresh thinking and if we continue with all of this people, we certainly won’t get it.

  9. Dearbornette says:

Oops, “this” should read “these”. Sorry.
