Deliziosa Adds Second Dearborn Restaurant

Dearborn Mayor John B. O’Reilly, Jr., helps celebrate the grand opening of Deliziosa To Go. Pictured here are (from left): Marlene Lemire from the Dearborn Chamber, Council members George Darany and Nancy Hubbard; owner Hassane Awada; Mayor O’Reilly and the Dearborn Chamber's Peggy Richard, Renee Aloe, Jennifer Giering and Larry Stock.
Among the restaurants that make our short list of favorites in Dearborn is Deliziosa, which consistently serves up some of the best food in town and always with great service.
Now you can get that same Mediterranean and Italian food delivered, thanks to the addition of a second restaurant, Deliziosa to Go, 13241 Warren, which just last week had its official ribbon-cutting ceremony with Dearborn Mayor John B. O’Reilly, Jr.
The original Deliziosa at 22439 Michigan Ave., just west of Military, opened back in 2005.
But for those who don’t have time for a sit down meal or are looking for fast delivery (if you’re in the delivery range, that is) late at night, there now is Deliziosa to Go, on Warren between Jonathon and Schaefer.
Think of it as gourmet-food to go, courtesy of owner Hassane Awada, who studied culinary arts in Lebanon and then combined his love of Mediterranean food with Italian favorites to create his fantastic menu.

Great food!! Great service. The best place to eat around. Highly recommended.

We had one trip there and were underwhelmed. The service turned very poor when a city council person came in and immediately got the entire attention of the wait staff. The food was ok but not at all outstanding.

WOW, I am sorry to hear that Al, we really have enjoyed our trips there. About 8 months ago it really went downhill for awhile and we quite going, we have started again and it is back where he used to be.

My food was undercooked, and when I told the waitress, she gave me the bad eye — last time they will see me, and I wasn’t the only one who complained about how the food was prepared — shitty all-around. Won’t give them another shot..

Love Deliziosa… I haven’t tried the To Go yet, but have consistently been impressed over the past 4 years at the quality, quantity and variety of food. Always interesting food and always good.

Sign says Ciao will be back soon after fixing restaurant.

Please say it isn’t true about Deliziosa going downhill. I had lunch there about half a dozen times and always was very impressed and pleased with the food. The service may be construed as slow because the food always was freshly prepared, unliked a fast food drive-through.

The well wasn’t able to tranfer a liquer license, don’t know if it will be a go without city council approval.

Tried it again yesterday — the service was extremely slow, and the food was shaky at best. Follow Ciao and do everyone a favor. No chance of making it very long.

Hassane ALWAYS cooks the best, fresh ingredients. He has made his restaurant into a “destination” location. Highly recommended as a must-visit.

Why would the city not give the Well a liquor license in this economy. Any business to fill vacancies is a good thing??? Confused????

Money is the answer to that question.
