Dearborn Master Plan Results Meeting Sept. 20
Dearborn residents are invited to discover the results of three public workshops and an online survey that contributed to the creation of a new master plan for the city, at a meeting at 7 p.m. Sept. 20 at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center.
The Summation Workshop will be in Club Room One of The Center, 15801 Michigan Ave.
Dearborn’s new master plan is being developed as a vision for the future of transportation, land use, the economy and environmental and cultural stewardship in the city.
The master plan will help determine the physical characteristics of the city and facilitate the renovation of the community residents want to see for the long term.
Three public workshops on different neighborhoods of the city have already been presented. As part of the process, residents also had a chance to take an online survey to give input on the desirable features they’d like Dearborn to cultivate.

The master plan is currently being developed by BLUTO, and if the people don’t like it, he could care less. He will take his ball and go home otherwise, because thats the way the Big Boy manages, our City Government.

Wonderful. Another dog any pony show. Bread and circuses. Patronize the masses then screw them with the predetermined agenda.

This was an extreame waste of money and insulting to taxpayers considering the cost of hiring third party contractors to facilate the process we already pay multiple department heads, project managers, and city planners to do. Secondly central planning did not work in the soviet union, and it is certainly completely removed from the actual way municipal governments and developers interact. Lastly this mayor should spare us the committees, consultants, and contractors and understand that what the people want is a balanced budget and sustainable government programs that encourage organic growth and vibrant communities, not more budget busting centralized projects
